Membership Benefits
Buying your ASA membership Trail Pass is your ticket to unforgettable snowmobiling in Alberta this season.
The regular price for an annual Membership is $100, however, if you purchase prior to January 1, the cost is only $80, it's the least expensive trail pass in Canada! Your membership Trail Pass investment is used by the clubs and the ASA to maintain, build, sign and improve the trails on which you ride.
Please note that we do not provide refunds for memberships.
Why become a Member?
Here's where your money goes:
- Club Trail Operation and Development
- Approximately 75% of the trail pass revenue benefits the club where you ride... "Buy Where You Ride"
- Funds are used for expenses ranging from fuel and insurance, equipment repair and signage, maintenance, bull-dozing, grading, brushing, and clean-up. The revenue even finances groomers.
- Reinvestment by the ASA - Revenue received by the ASA is reinvested in a broad range of provincial programs to promote safe and environmentally responsible recreational snowmobiling, to provide strong leadership and support to member snowmobile clubs, and set policies and strategies for the development of a system of safe trails. Programs are developed to benefit clubs and members alike. The remainder sustains the ASA itself.
Some of the other membership benefits include:
- ASA Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance with American Income Life Insurance Company (click here). Family Eye Care and Child Safe ID kit is also available at no cost to you upon request.
- SureRider Insurance. This affordable snowmobile, home, and auto insurance is available exclusively to those who are valid members. Visit Drayden Insurance online by clicking here for a list of their locations to call and ask for your ASA no-obligation quote.
- Access to 6,500 km of groomed snowmobile trails across Alberta. Many of our trails exist only because of the granted legal permission of landowners. You are trespassing without their permission and an up-to-date ASA Trail Pass on your snowmobile and could be liable to charges and fines.
- ASA Snowmobile Trail Guide. Get a new Snowmobile Trail Guide from your local club, select retailers, and tourism centers. This shows you where the groomed trails are in Alberta and gives you the contact information you need to get a hold of local clubs.
- Monthly ASA Newsletter
- An invitation to the ASA Annual Jamboree (see events for details). Preregistration is required as space is limited.
